Video streaming currently uses 80% of all internet bandwidth, but for many businesses, streaming video is very expensive. Livepeer is a protocol that allows developers to add live or on-demand video to their projects. It aims to reduce cost related with video streaming by up to 50x while increasing its reliability. To achieve this Livepeer is building p2p infrastructure that interacts through a marketplace secured by the Ethereum blockchain.
