Wrecked Love — where love 💔 goes liquid 💧 blending insurance pools with relationship prediction 📈
Wrecked Love turns relationships into on-chain commitments and public sentiment into markets. Couples open a love insurance pool by locking equal funds for a chosen tenure (6/9/12 months). If they last, they reclaim the pot with yield; if things break, the loyal partner is favored in settlement. Around each pool, the community joins a curated prediction layer—betting “Yes” (they’ll make it) or “No” (they won’t).
What users do
Couples (Partner A & B)
Partner A opens a pool: enters Partner B’s wallet, selects 6/9/12 months, sets total amount, and deposits half.
Partner B joins with the other half → pool becomes Active and stays locked for the tenure.
At tenure end (or early manual trigger, e.g., marriage announcement), the pool outcome determines the narrative: Survived vs Broken (MVP uses manual ops; on-chain settlement is a planned upgrade).
Community (Predictors)
Bets are admin-posted markets tied to a specific pool (official “survival” polls or curated “gossip” prompts).
Each bet has a 24-hour window to stake Yes/No. After that, the market is closed.
When the underlying pool resolves, markets settle off-chain for MVP (clear upgrade path to on-chain settlement later).
Why it works
Insurance gives the market a real anchor. Outcomes aren’t random; they hinge on a live escrow between two parties.
Prediction gives the insurance social liquidity. People care about couples they follow; speculative attention funds the game.
Moderation without bottlenecks. To reduce spam/harassment, all markets are admin-created (gossip ideas are submitted off-chain with a small fee; we curate, then post).
Clear, meme-ready UX. Landing shows all active pools (“Predict the Love”); each pool has its own market list and countdowns; a playful “Get Insured” flow captures names, relationship age, tenure, and T&Cs.
Economics (MVP → prod)
Protocol take: In markets, a protocol fee (e.g., 20%) is reserved from total stakes at settlement; the remainder goes to winning side pro-rata.
Couple incentives: Upon survival, couples reclaim principal + yield; we can also route a small cut of market fees to them for positive-outcome alignment.
Yield source: initially mocked (or very conservative) for MVP; post-hackathon we can plug safe yield venues or keep funds idle to reduce risk.
Anti-abuse & safety: T&Cs gate the flow; names are optional pseudonyms; all markets are curated; no doxxing/harassment content.
Roadmap
Phase 1 (hackathon MVP): Single contract for pools + markets, admin-created bets, 24h staking window, manual resolution, public listings.
Phase 2 (3 months): On-chain settlement, sybil-resistant voting for friend attestations, automated fee routing, proper yield adapters, and storage hardening (IPFS/Filecoin) for market metadata.
Bottom line: Insurance gives skin-in-the-game; markets make it viral. Wrecked Love is a playful but principled way to bring social truth to DeFi—where love goes liquid.
Frontend: Next.js + Tailwind for a vibrant, meme-rich Gen Z experience.
Wallets: MetaMask for login & tx signing.
Smart Contracts: A single Solidity contract on Flow EVM powers both the insurance pools and prediction markets, keeping logic unified and lightweight.
World Mini App: Deployed inside the World Mini App ecosystem for discoverability and low-friction UX.
Hacky Wins:
Unified insurance + betting logic into one contract (gas + audit friendly).
Gossip bets created by admin to keep UX smooth, while still orbiting around the pool settlement layer.
Playful DeFi-meets-social UI with pastel themes + meme-ready components.
End result: Wrecked Love makes insurance fun, speculation spicy, and gossip profitable — truly a DeFi protocol where love goes liquid.
