This project is designed to serve as a unique, gas-free transaction platform that empowers both users and Web3 startups. Imagine an app functioning like your personal duty-free shop, where you can enjoy the benefits of completing blockchain transactions without incurring gas fees. The core concept is simple yet innovative: users can conduct transactions without worrying about network fees by watching short, targeted advertisements related to the specific blockchains they are using.

Here’s how it works: When users want to make a transaction on a supported blockchain, instead of paying gas fees out of pocket, they have the option to watch advertisements that are tailored to that blockchain’s ecosystem. These ads are from Web3 startups and other projects looking to reach an audience interested in blockchain technology and decentralized applications (dApps).

This model creates a symbiotic relationship where all parties benefit. Users gain a seamless, cost-free experience when conducting their transactions, which removes a common barrier to entry for interacting with various blockchain networks. Web3 startups and projects, on the other hand, gain direct access to their ideal audience—users already engaged in blockchain activities. This targeted exposure allows startups to showcase their products and services to potential customers who are more likely to convert into users, creating meaningful connections and enhancing user acquisition efforts.

In essence, this platform becomes a win-win environment. Users get the incentive of gasless transactions, and saving on potential fees, while Web3 startups benefit from increased visibility and the potential growth of their user base. This innovative approach drives forward blockchain adoption by reducing cost friction and providing a unique platform for blockchain-related advertising and outreach.

How it's Made

The development of this project involved a thoughtful selection of cutting-edge technologies to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and user experience. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how the project was built, highlighting the key components and their integration:

Tech Stack Overview: Next.js: We used Next.js as both the frontend and backend framework, leveraging its robust capabilities for server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG). This provided a seamless development experience and improved load times for users, enhancing overall performance and SEO.

Tailwind CSS and Shadcn UI: For styling, we opted for Tailwind CSS due to its utility-first approach, which allowed for rapid prototyping and consistent design patterns across the project. Shadcn UI was incorporated to create a cohesive, modern user interface with pre-built components that were easily customizable, streamlining the design process while maintaining visual appeal.

PostgreSQL: As our database, PostgreSQL offered a reliable, open-source relational database management system with advanced data integrity features. Its compatibility with various data types and robust querying capabilities ensured that our data layer was both efficient and scalable, supporting complex data interactions smoothly.

Vercel: We deployed the app using Vercel, which provided us with an excellent platform for hosting that aligns perfectly with Next.js. Vercel's automatic optimizations, easy deployment workflows, and scalability options allowed us to push changes quickly and maintain a high level of uptime.

Partner Technologies and Integrations: Biconomy: Integrated as a core component for enabling gasless transactions. Biconomy's SDK was essential in managing meta-transactions, allowing users to interact with the blockchain without needing to pay gas fees directly. This simplified the user experience and was central to the project’s mission of fee-free interactions. Web3Auth: Used to streamline user authentication by providing a simple, non-custodial, and secure login experience. This technology made it easier for users to onboard without the complexities of traditional blockchain wallets, enhancing user retention. Blockscout: We incorporated Blockscout for blockchain data exploration and transaction tracking. This integration allowed us to provide users with transparency by enabling them to view transaction details and verify their interactions on the blockchain. WorldID: Employed as part of our identity verification process to enhance security and ensure trustworthiness in user interactions. WorldID’s decentralized verification system allowed us to maintain a higher standard of privacy and security. Auth0: Utilized for its robust authentication features, adding flexibility to our identity management system. Auth0's extensive range of customizable authentication flows was leveraged to secure both traditional and Web3-based logins. Base Sepolia: Chosen as a testnet to simulate real-world blockchain operations during the development phase. Base Sepolia provided a stable environment for us to test features and validate interactions without incurring high costs or risks.
