UnblockReceipts gives you a receipt for your gas fees on Ethereum that you can use in expense reports. It helps those exploring web3 who still have to report to web≤2 accounting or tax authorities.
This project is designed to help Web2 companies integrate crypto transactions in their reports and accounting systems without having to manually track each transaction and match historical prices. UnblockReceipts allows users with little knowledge of how blockchain works to create accurate reports analyzing multiple transaction data at a glance.
We use the Coinbase Node to fetch data for multiple transactions for a single or multiple addresses. Historical token prices in USD are served from the SushiSwap (formerly UniswapV2) subgraph. We use Wallet Connect to help get a user's address conveniently. The dApp front-end is hosted on IPFS and Netlify.
All the info is presented in a report that let you consume it without having to do calculations or execute several searches to match historical prices, especially regarding transaction fees which are commonly calculated based on current prices (e. g. on Etherscan). While each one is small, they can add up over the course of a year exploring new technology.
