An artist who creates a song can tokenise it to make it popular and reach top charts. Fans can use their influence on Reels and TikTok to make it popular by creating a video and sharing it with their followers. They will be rewarded proportionally based on the views generated by their video. For e.g 50% ownership to all the fans who made the videos to get the song to top charts.
All the loyal fans can claim their song ownership in a permission-less manner by submitting a zero knowledge proof of video views. In the absence of zk proof, fans would have to trust the artist to abide by the word. Artist will also have to manually go through all those who made the videos to airdrop. Record labels that want to buy out the song will provide liquidity to all the token holders.
If enough artists opt for this, this can become the de-facto way in which a new song is launched. A category of niche songs that are owned and popularised by the community. Eventually it could turn into a TikTok disruptor.
