Project Description

Tap is an innovative web3 payment platform that streamlines the process of transacting with GHO, the stablecoin of the Aave protocol. Tap allows for seamless payments through direct wallet transfers or by leveraging Aave's borrowing capabilities. With just a few clicks, users can generate and share payment links or present QR codes for swift and secure transactions. Tap's integration with Aave also means users can opt to borrow GHO against their collateral instantly, offering flexibility and liquidity without the need to sell off assets. Whether you're settling debts, paying for services, or transferring funds, Tap's user-friendly interface ensures a hassle-free experience while harnessing the power of decentralized finance.

How it's Made

Tap is crafted using Next.js, deployed on Vercel for both frontend and backend operations. The app capitalizes on the power of @Family's ConnectKit for seamless wallet connection, ensuring a user-friendly experience.

At its core, Tap utilizes the permit functionality for efficient GHO token transfers, allowing users to authorize transactions without gas fees. For Aave borrows, it is used the Delegation With Sig, allows the approval of credit delegation without the need for the user to send a tx by itself. The app ingeniously bypasses the need for users to hold ETH for gas, instead employing an external wallet that executes all transactions. This means that users only need to have assets supplied on Aave or possess GHO tokens.

The application's infrastructure is bolstered by @Aave's utilities package, adeptly calculating the user's borrowing power.

The inclusion of QR code generation and scanning capabilities ensures that payments are not only digital but also adaptable to physical interfaces.
