Super Tours, powered by Kluest, is an innovative mobile dapp for iOS and Android that revolutionises the tourism experience through augmented reality (AR) and user-generated content, leveraging web3 technology. Built on the robust infrastructure SKALE Network, it offers a seamless, gas-free experience for travellers and content creators alike.

With Super Tours, users can explore immersive, self-guided tours enriched by AR visuals and interactive elements. They can also generate personalised routes with a single click using AI, which curates the best landmarks, hidden gems, and historical points of interest. The app allows for full customisation, enabling users to add stories, photos, and AR-enhanced content, creating truly unique and engaging experiences.

Thanks to the integration of Sequence’s web3 gaming stack, the app supports the minting of digital assets, marketplace functionalities, and easy integration of smart contracts, providing creators with the tools they need to monetize their content directly. SKALE’s zero gas fee technology ensures that these transactions are instant and cost-effective, removing the traditional financial and bureaucratic barriers associated with app stores like Apple and Google.

We built Super Tours in Unity, combining SKALE Network and Sequence's Unity SDK to create a fluid, scalable web3 experience designed for mobile and AR-based tourism. At its core, Unity’s 3D engine powers the app, allowing us to seamlessly integrate AR (Augmented Reality) and immersive user-generated content.

Tech Stack Breakdown SKALE Network: We chose SKALE for its EVM compatibility and layer-2 architecture. This was crucial because SKALE’s ability to run Solidity smart contracts gave us the flexibility and scalability we needed without insane gas fees. Plus, it's fully decentralized, making sure the foundation of our app is rock solid.

Sequence Unity SDK: Integrating Sequence into Unity was a game changer. It's got everything we need to build web3 features directly into the app, like:

Wallet Management: Here’s where things get cool. We didn’t want users to mess around with private keys or complex setups, so we used Sequence’s Universal Wallet and its account abstraction features. With just two clicks, users create a wallet—no hassle. They don’t even know they’re on blockchain unless they want to withdraw tokens. It's simple, it's fast, and it just works. Smart Contracts: We wrote custom Solidity contracts to handle everything from the minting and sale of tokens/NFTs to the transfer of user-generated content. This ensures transparency and security while keeping everything in-house. Marketplace Integration: Our internal marketplace runs on blockchain to manage the minting, selling, and ownership of AR content. Whether it’s NFTs, routes, or other UGC, the blockchain guarantees secure transactions and ownership. AR and AI Integration Unity’s AR Foundation gives us the flexibility to tie AR content to real-world locations, which users can customize. And we didn’t stop there. We brought in AI-powered routes, which use machine learning to automatically generate personalized, immersive travel experiences based on user preferences and location data. Users click once, and boom—an entire custom tour is generated in real-time.

What Makes It Hacky? Here’s where the magic happens: we hid the blockchain. Users aren’t bombarded with crypto jargon, wallets, or gas fees. They interact with the app just like any other mobile app. The blockchain only shows up when users want to withdraw or transfer tokens—keeping the experience super simple and approachable for non-crypto users.

And speaking of accessibility, we figured out how to let users buy tokens with regular payment methods (credit cards, etc.)—no app store fees or unnecessary friction. This keeps it smooth and lets us bypass traditional fee structures, all while preserving the decentralized nature of the platform.

Hacky Wins The blockchain abstraction keeps users focused on the experience, not the tech. AI-driven route generation is instant, and adapts to user inputs, making it feel almost magical. The in-app token purchases make onboarding easy, while the blockchain ensures ownership and security behind the scenes. In short, we’ve combined powerful tech, hid the complexity, and focused on creating a seamless experience that’s perfect for tourism and AR—allowing users to explore, create, and even profit, without ever needing to know what’s under the hood.
