SUI in Space

Sui-In-Space is a blockchain-based space exploration game built on Sui that combines seamless zkLogin authentication with strategic gameplay. Players command space missions, manage AI-controlled fleets, and participate in on-chain governance to shape the game's future. The game features real-time mission mechanics where players select AI agents to execute various space operations, earning rewards and advancing through the galaxy. With zkLogin integration, players can authenticate using familiar OAuth providers (Google) without needing to manage private keys directly, lowering the barrier to entry for Web3 gaming while maintaining full custody of their assets.

Built with React, TypeScript, and Vite for the frontend, Sui-In-Space leverages the Sui blockchain's Move smart contracts for game logic and asset management. We integrated zkLogin using @mysten/sui SDK and Shinami's prover service for gasless authentication flows. The UI uses @mysten/dapp-kit for wallet connectivity alongside our custom auth context that unifies traditional wallet and zkLogin experiences. State management combines React Query for blockchain data fetching with custom hooks for real-time updates. The game features a holographic cyan/purple design system built with Tailwind CSS. Transaction flows use Sui's Transaction builder for complex multi-call operations like mission execution and governance voting. We implemented a mock actions provider for development that allowed rapid iteration without constant blockchain calls.
