Slipstream

Slipstream is a cross-chain USDC transfer application that simplifies the transfer of stablecoins with the feeling of a single, simple checkout process. It involves selecting the source chain, the target chain, and then the recipient, with the application then handling the native USDC transfer process defined by Circle, which includes the steps of Approve, Burn, Attestation, Mint, with a progress timeline with Explorer links for each step in the process. For an even smoother checkout, users have the option to deposit USDC into Circle Gateway for a unified balance across supported chains, from which they can send or withdraw the USDC to any supported chain with the application. In addition, the application includes gas sponsorship, which means that the user does not have to possess any gas token, removing the primary pain point for cross-chain transfers.

Slipstream includes front-end support via the Next.js, along with a lightweight back-end and API layer for orchestration and persistence. The cross-chain USDC movements are enabled via Circle Bridge Kit (utilizes CCTP provider), and they are subscribed to bridge events (approve, burn, fetchAttestation, mint) to update the timeline and persist step-by-step transaction hashes. The unified balance layer includes support via Circle Gateway to deposit to the Gateway Wallet contract and retrieve the balance via the Gateway API before withdrawing and minting to the target chain/directory. The wallet layer includes support via thirdweb In-App Wallet and gas sponsorship (upgrade via EIP-7702 under the hood if available), hence providing the ability to execute without needing native tokens in the wallet. The support layer includes storing user information, routes, and transfer history via Neon Postgres and the Drizzle ORM, while providing the ability to persist "proof of execution" via judges in the future.
