ScoutX

ScoutX is an implementation of a new market design, Opportunity Markets, proposed by Paradigm, where market prices are visible only to the market initiator.

This allows sponsors like VCs, DAOs or labels to create markets such as "Will we sign Artist X?" and deposit capital as escrow. It allows anyone to participate as a scout and make bets, but price signals stay private to live sponsors during the opportunity window.

ScoutX has decentralized scouting, private price discovery, and real-world decisioning without leaking alpha and allows for rewarding early participants when the outcomes occur.

ScoutX leverages the state Channel SDK provided by Yellow Network, offering instant, gasless, and session-based trading with one-on-one user interaction. A user can deposit money once and place multiple bets with immediate feedback, with only one on-chain finalization at session end.

Market liquidity and settlement logic are managed through custom market pools, which are designed to mimic the logic of the popular DeFi protocol Uniswap V4.

The frontend is a minimalist Web3 interface that prioritizes both privacy and simplicity, and smart contracts enforce escrow security and determinism for settlement. This is a powerful combination of Web2 UX at Web3 security levels.
