Project Description

This project is a Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization platform designed to let individuals invest in properties. By purchasing Proof of Ownership Tokens (POT), investors can become fractional owners of a property and receive a share of the rental income proportional to the number of tokens they hold. An interactive 3D map (built using Mapbox) helps users locate nearby properties and browse listings around the world; once a tenant pays rent, the smart contract automatically redistributes that revenue to token holders, ensuring a flow of yield distribution. This model solves two main challenges: it lowers the barrier for people who want to invest in real estate, and it provides a global audience of potential backers for property developers looking to secure funding.

How it's Made

We built this project by combining multiple components of the World Chain ecosystem into a unified platform that’s both user-friendly and secure. Here’s a closer look at each layer. We started with MiniAppKit to rapidly prototype our user interfaces. It allowed us to create modular, lightweight “mini-apps” for different features—like property listing, verification, and payments—so we could quickly stitch everything together without reinventing the wheel. Under the hood, the platform leverages Minkit commands from the World Chain to manage on-chain transactions. Specifically, the “Pay” command is used to handle rent payments and investing in property to get POTs in return, splitting the proceeds among token holders, while the “Send Transaction” command manages property listings and revenue claims. The front end integrates Mapbox, allowing investors to visualize properties in an immersive, map-based interface. Overall, the project’s architecture brings together blockchain-based ownership, intuitive mapping technology, and automated payment flows to create a user-friendly system for fractional real estate investment.
