ResearchOS

ResearchOS is the incentive operating system for human research 🧠. It solves a core problem in research participation: fair, instant, and transparent payouts. Traditional research payments are slow, manual, and make micro-incentives impractical. ResearchOS introduces a pay-per-participant model where researchers fund studies once and participants earn seamlessly. Using Yellow Network’s session-based payments, rewards are distributed off-chain in real time ⚡ and settled on-chain only when needed. ENS is used to give researchers and participants human-readable identities, improving trust, usability, and clarity across the platform.

ResearchOS is built as a modern web application using wallet-based identity and session-based payments. The frontend is built with Next.js, React, and Tailwind, while Supabase (Postgres) manages studies, enrollments, and payout state. Study metadata is stored on IPFS for immutability. Yellow Network powers the core payment flow 💛: each study opens a single payment session, participant rewards are credited off-chain instantly, and final balances are settled on-chain. ENS is integrated to map wallet addresses to readable names, improving UX and making research interactions more transparent and human-centric.
