RescueETH

Smart Rescue is a gasless rescue primitive designed to solve the "stranded token" problem on L2s like Base. Millions of dollars are stuck in wallets that have ERC20 tokens but zero native gas (ETH) to move them. Smart Rescue provides three seamless options to recover these funds without requiring the user to have gas upfront:

Get Gas & Stay: Swaps USDC for ETH to restore transaction power. Bridge to Mainnet: Moves assets to Ethereum L1 via LI.FI. Send to Exchange: Direct transfer to a CEX. The platform uses Yellow Network's state channels to sponsor signatures, ensuring a truly gasless and transparent rescue.

The project is built with React, Vite, and TailwindCSS, integrating several partner technologies:

Yellow Network SDK: Powers the gasless execution via off-chain state channels. We implemented a Nitro session flow using EIP-712 signatures to sponsor transactions for wallets with zero ETH. LI.FI SDK: Provides cross-chain routing intelligence to compute the most efficient swap and bridge paths during the rescue process. ENS: Integrated to resolve wallet addresses to human-readable names, improving the UX and alignment with the Ethereum ecosystem. Viem & Wagmi: Used for robust wallet connectivity and on-chain interactions on Base Mainnet. A key technical hurdle was aligning the strict EIP-712 authentication structs with the Yellow Sandbox environment to ensure session keys could be generated without any initial gas.
