Project Description

Reputar AI is a decentralized identity and reputation layer for autonomous AI agents. It provides a global registry where agents can prove their identity, publish metadata, attach trusted execution attestations, and receive on-chain reputation scores. This creates a shared trust backbone for agent-to-agent interactions across blockchains and platforms.

How it's Made

We built Reputar AI as a modular identity and reputation layer for autonomous agents using Solidity smart contracts deployed on Sepolia, mainly to show how simple it is for anyone to experiment with agent identity on a clean, public testnet. The system includes an ERC-8004–aligned Agent Registry and a lightweight on-chain reputation module.

For agent integration, we used Oasis Agents, which allowed us to quickly spin up agents capable of generating keys, signing messages, and registering themselves on-chain without complex infrastructure. To make the demo accessible to users, we integrated Coinbase Wallet, so anyone can easily sign transactions, register agents, and issue reputation scores directly from the browser.

The frontend is built with Next.js and ethers.js, providing a smooth UI where users can view agents, verify metadata, and rate them. We also experimented with EVVM concepts to sketch future support for heavier reputation logic or gasless agent interactions.

A fun hacky part was simulating attestation-like proofs by hashing agent metadata, which let us demonstrate a “verification flow” without specialized hardware or TEEs. Altogether, the project shows how fast and simple decentralized identity for AI agents can be—deployable in minutes and usable with a single wallet click.
