Project Description

The created dApp: Right now the RedFlames app includes a page where wallet owners can mint unique female football player NFTs with just one click on the mint button.

The goal: The primary goal of this platform is to stimulate interest in women's football, encouraging more girls, women, and other individuals to attend games, actively support their favorite teams, and play football in real life.

The idea: The RedFlames app is a dApp developed to improve engagement and support for women's football. The platform encourages fans to attend professional female soccer games, where they can mint unique player NFTs for free. Each NFT captures detailed information about the player, including their name, position, nationality, current team, player score, year of their states, and a unique picture. Users can earn credits for their active involvement, which incentivizes attendance, support, and participation in the sport. The NFTs are limited in supply, with only a certain number of instances (e.g. 10) available for each player. Users can trade these exclusive NFTs, to further extend the engagement of the platform.

How it's Made

This project used the Scaffold-ETH-2 starter-kit for the development of the dApp and uses Hardhat for compiling and deploying the smart contract. The FemaleFootballPlayers contract utilises the OpenZeppelin ERC721 standard for NFTs, with extensions for URI storage and ownership management. The contract handles minting, tracking player details, and manages the total supply of player instances. The frontend application is built with Next.js, using the Scaffold-ETH-2 premade code-snippets to create the elemnt with contract interactions, and currently allows users to connect their wallets and mint player NFTs. Finally, the project runs on the Zircuit testnet and has been verified!
