Project Description

A few emerging tools are trying to offer useful and practical solutions for Radiology houses, Hospitals, etc., who are in real need of Solutions where they can outsource radiology writing expertise to remotely skilled doctors. Current situation have many urging needs from patients’ point of view; 1- specialized radiologists exist in specific cities, lowering the quality of healthcare given to people living outside capital cities 2- cost and time involved by travelling doctors, travelling patients and thier famililes 3- untimely report writing, you may have you exam performed and then wait a day or two, in many place it can easily get longer Also apparently problem does affect hospital businesses, radiologist looking to work conveniently remotely, and more free market, etc.

Challenges; Patient Privacy Regulations compliance, HIPAA, ONC, QA processes involved, insurance requirements No “one size fits all” for workflow models in different business sizes, geographical areas, specialty level etc. cloud/on prem restrictions etc. IT experitise need to mainatin such systems are not generlly available IT expertise needed from health care providers themsleves, doctors, nurses etc. Legacy systems, sometimes from the 80s’ Varying requirements for compensating and managing workforce , remote freelance payment models, etc. Need to negotiate and setup long list of custom tools for various stakeholders involved Medical imaging has its own “file” formats, for different kinds of modality and usages Medical imaging has a protocol not based http, cannot work with most of common software backend stacks directly, DICOM, HL7, IHE profiles etc.

Solution ReadyVU aim to be a decentralized, healthcare compliant platform for doctors to be able to view medical images and write radiology reports remotely, Only Radiology center need to know about crypto or have a special setup - little as it is but still; On Boarding new Doctors does not require them installing any special software, be that for crypto or medical imaging special software

Hospital user story; Hospital sets up it own infrastructure or have it through a certified partner Hospital sponsors fees, sets up regulatory compliant workflows using standard business process modeling tools Upon receiving images for radiology modalities, its routed to preselected / newly certified doctors.

Doctor user story; Receive shared document link accepts , goes to google doc See info as per need basis open medical images from within google doc, again no special software Logs in to the viewer using his google login, no browser extension wallets,etc. Writes findings, add images and annotations etc. Signal finishing the report when done

Similar user stories for all other parties involved, no special tools, see info as per need basis. System is not hardcoded to public clouds, user can move to a fully decentralized self governed experience when he needs to

How it's Made

Technology components in action;

bmpn.io, Business process standard modeling tools to model and enforce business compliance Convert business process model and deploy as a Pint contract to essential network DICOM router to receive studies from radiology machines, CTs, PET, MRIs etc. High scalable PACS system to store images, for short periods, or commonly 5 to 7 years Secure function to dispatch workflow upon recieving a patient study, run as a LIT protocol action Differnet google documents are shared from same template, set by various requirements, like dr pref, business, exam type etc. User logs in to Flow network, using his google login, through Dynamic wallet social login Google docs have embedded scripts to talk to TEE LIT Action, to get information assinged to each individual user Radiologist opens CornerStone DICOM viewer, from inside google docs, adds annotations, take images, write findings etc. Radiologist finishes QA approves doc Report is sent to patient and referring doctor The above workflow is enforced from Essential network using Pint contract generated from workflow
