RAZE.MONEY

RAZE.money is a decentralized fundraising platform that assists with the delivery of liquidity to those who need it most, and awards personalized Impact Certificate NFTs to contributors. It has become norm for marginalized communities to rely on crowdfunding platforms, such as GoFundMe, for the individualized financing of needs, such as medical treatment, legal consultation, and small ventures like start-ups or collectives. We aim to create a transparent, grassroots alternative by adding Web3 and DeFi to the mix. Anyone can start a fundraiser and share it with anyone, anywhere. Verification (designated by the presence of our signature green gem) is entirely optional. However, the featured section of our platform is exclusively reserved for verified campaigns. Our fundraising platform is powered by a hardy smart contract ecosystem that leverages Chainlink’s price oracles. The campaigns hosted on them will have neither a minimum or maximum funding target for closure; meaning that campaigns can be liquidated by the beneficiary at any time, for any reason. When a beneficiary elects to liquidate their campaign, you will no longer be able to contribute to it and its respective token stops being minted; capping the supply. This is to ensure a sense of rarity and to allow for funding timeline flexibility. As a contributor, the collective US Dollar value of your donation is preserved in the form of an Impact Certificate NFT that proves your support for a chosen cause and as you continue to contribute to its respective campaign, your NFT levels up on-chain. Our NFTs create an “actions speak louder than words” moment because donating is sometimes the simplest, most direct way to show care and engagement with social causes. These tokens are receipts, literally and figuratively, that display your history of commitment to marginalized communities. In the future, we hope to make tokens from verified campaigns redeemable as an eligible tax write-off. On our platform, we are choosing to display these Impact Certificate NFTs in a manner reminiscent of trading cards. This allows for the Raze makers to create their own artwork; expanding ways they can create interest and collectability to their NFTs. We do not charge anyone to start a campaign, but we do have a platform service fee of 1% to fund development, artists, and L3GENDARY DAO events that will decrease to 0.1% as we expand our reach. While serving queer communities is at the core of this project and organization, our other goal is to make the entirety of DeFi more accessible to the public by introducing the practice of paying in familiar amounts (fiat).

We are currently planning our technology stack and agreeing on the organizational structure for the team as we have not filled out our ranks just yet.

This platform should not to be hindered by financial barriers, so Polygon is our network of choice. To store encrypted, sensitive documents and NFT art assets, we have chosen to utilize IPFS Filecoin. Some of our NFTs will also have dynamic metadata (specifically contribution amount), so Tableland may prove necessary.

Our project does involve identity verification so we may opt to use Ceramic, Urbit, or Sonr for that. Depending on time constraints, we may elect to use hyperdapp for front-end deployment. Additionally, we may use XTMP due to the sensitive nature of our activities and target audience.
