Project Description

This project is a revolutionary approach to modern pensions, offering a unique blend of real-time rate adjustments, perpetual pension payments, and a dynamic system designed to ensure sustainability and fairness. The key features and mechanisms of the project are as follows:

  • Dynamic Adjustments: The rates at which pensions are paid are adjusted in real-time. This means that the amount disbursed to pensioners can change dynamically based on various factors such as the total contributions, the number of participants, and the current financial state of the system.
  • Sustainable Model: Pensions are designed to be paid out in perpetuity, providing a lifelong income stream for retirees.
  • Daily Reduction: However, to maintain sustainability, the amount of pension received is slightly lower each day. This gradual reduction ensures that the funds are not depleted quickly and can support an increasing number of retirees over time.
  • Fair Distribution: At any given moment, the participant with the largest contribution stream receives their pension first. This prioritization ensures that those who contribute the most are rewarded promptly.
  • Adaptive Retirement Age: The retirement age is not fixed but is constantly increased to reflect changing life expectancies and economic conditions. This dynamic adjustment helps to keep the system balanced and reduces the strain on pension funds.
  • Inspired by Government Websites: The user interface and experience are inspired by the best government websites, ensuring ease of use, accessibility, and reliability.

How it's Made

We built the frontend using React, integrating Wagmi, RainbowKit, and Viem to handle blockchain interactions. This combination allowed us to create a responsive and user-friendly interface that interacts with the Ethereum blockchain in real-time. The smart contracts were written in Solidity and deployed using Scroll. These contracts manage contributions, calculate benefits, and handle the dynamic payout periods. Superfluid was integrated into the contracts to enable continuous streaming payments. This provided users with a real-time and perpetual pension experience. Blockscout was used to monitor transactions and verify the state of the blockchain. This helped us ensure that all interactions were correctly recorded and provided transparency to users.
