PineappleCream is a decentralized knowledge and file management platform designed to give users full ownership, privacy, and control over their digital assets. It combines the immutability of blockchain technology with the scalability of decentralized storage networks, creating a next-generation system for storing, organizing, and sharing knowledge, files, and personal data.

Unlike traditional cloud platforms where users must trust centralized providers with their information, PineappleCream ensures that all content—whether files, documents, images, or notes—remains encrypted, censorship-resistant, and verifiably owned by the user.

PineappleCream is a decentralized knowledge and file management platform built by combining blockchain technology with decentralized storage, creating a secure, privacy-first system for storing, organizing, and sharing files, documents, images, and notes.

The platform uses the Sui blockchain for all metadata and ownership tracking. Custom Move smart contracts (vault.move) register each file and note, manage permissions, and handle temporary access features like one-time viewing links. This ensures verifiable ownership and access control while keeping data immutable.

Actual file content is stored on the Walrus decentralized storage network. Files are encrypted client-side before upload, ensuring privacy even within the storage network. Walrus’s aggregation layer acts as a decentralized CDN, enabling efficient retrieval of large files.

The frontend is built with React 18 and TypeScript, using Vite for fast builds and Tailwind CSS for responsive, modern styling. Radix UI components provide accessibility, and dark mode delivers a sleek user experience. Wallet integration is powered by the Sui dApp Kit, allowing seamless interactions with the blockchain for uploads, transactions, and ownership verification.

PineappleCream includes a smart organizer that automatically tags and categorizes files and notes using a combination of heuristics and content analysis. A graph-based visualization connects content by shared tags, enabling users to explore relationships between files and notes intuitively.

Notable engineering choices include a hybrid architecture, where large files live off-chain while metadata remains on-chain, and an encryption-first system that protects user data before leaving the device. Temporary sharing is handled securely via expiring, one-time tokens tracked on-chain, ensuring content is viewable only as intended.
