Project Description

G-13: Light Privacy Gadget (Stateful Stealth Address Protocol for Functional Privacy)

A wallet-side "Silent Channel" protocol for recurring, discretionary crypto payments. PG-13 uses off-chain cryptographic ratchets to enable zero-metadata, instant-discovery transfers, eliminating the high gas costs and scanning overhead of ERC-5564 for use cases like adult entertainment tipping, legal cannabis purchases, and payroll.

How it's Made

The Context: Functional Privacy vs. Deep Anonymity Most Ethereum privacy tools are designed for "Deep Anonymity" (e.g., Tornado Cash, Railgun), obscuring both source and destination at high computational and gas costs. However, everyday "PG-13" activities—like tipping a performer, buying legal cannabis, or discreet medical purchases—often require "Functional Privacy": keeping the specific recipient private without needing to hide the funding source from national security agencies. Current standards like ERC-5564 fail this niche due to the "Privacy Trilemma": high gas costs, metadata leakage via "Announcer" contracts, and battery-draining scanning overhead for mobile users.

The Solution: PG-13 (Silent Channel Protocol) PG-13 is a stateful privacy gadget designed for high-frequency, peer-to-peer relationships. Instead of broadcasting ephemeral keys on-chain (stateless), sender and receiver synchronize off-chain using a Double Ratchet algorithm (similar to Signal/WhatsApp) to locally derive future addresses.
