Governments maintain land registry ledgers, sometimes on paper, and oftentimes with a high barrier of accesibility to public. This information asymetry ends up giving an unfair advantage to middlepeople, i.e. brokers, to place higher prices on purchases and lower on sales. This project enables any city and citizen to maintain the public registry of property plots on web3, so that land ownership can be queried, transferred, sold and purchased. We intend this to allow descentralization of the land registry data.

We use IPFS for storage, and think this would allow for a new market for data distribution of the registry Subgraphs from TheGraph for indexing, walletconnect and polygon for transactions and linking properties to people.

All of this systems will be starting points to enable citizen identity to be held on the blockchain and property data to be verified for future applications.
