OmniStrat AI is an advanced AI-powered Decentralized Finance (DeFi) strategy assistant that unifies the fragmented crypto landscape into a single, intuitive conversational interface. It tackles the challenge of navigating numerous blockchains and protocols by enabling users to articulate complex financial goals in natural language. The AI then intelligently orchestrates multi-step, cross-chain DeFi strategies across integrated protocols like LI.FI (for swaps and bridges), Aave (for lending/borrowing), Circle Arc (for unified USDC balance and native bridging), and Uniswap V4 (for liquidity provision). The project empowers users to seamlessly manage and move capital, execute diverse strategies from active trading to passive yield generation, and receive risk-aware recommendations. It features natural language strategy execution, cross-chain capital fluidity, unified portfolio monitoring, and a transparent transaction orchestration, preview, and confirmation process, making advanced DeFi strategies accessible and manageable.

OmniStrat AI is built on a robust, full-stack architecture designed for seamless interaction with the fragmented DeFi landscape. The frontend leverages Next.js 16, React 19, and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS v4, presenting a dynamic chat interface. Web3 connectivity is managed by wagmi v3 for React hooks and viem v2 for low-level Ethereum interactions, handling wallet connections and transaction signing. The backend uses Next.js API Routes, interfacing with both OpenAI GPT-4o and Google Gemini LLMs via the Vercel AI SDK v3. A core architectural component is our app/api/tools/ directory, where each DeFi protocol (LI.FI, Aave v3, Circle Arc/CCTP, ENS, Yellow Network, Uniswap V4) is abstracted into a dedicated *-tool.ts file. These tools are exposed to the AI using the Vercel AI SDK's tool() function with Zod schemas, enabling the LLM to dynamically select and invoke the most suitable function based on natural language commands. This modularity is fundamental for orchestrating multi-step, cross-chain DeFi strategies. For example, the AI can construct a plan that uses lifi-tool to bridge assets, then aave-tool to deposit funds, or arc-tool for optimized native USDC transfers. The frontend intelligently interprets the AI's orchestrated tool calls, generating interactive UI cards for each transaction step, requiring explicit user approval before execution. This transforms complex workflows into simple, guided interactions. A notable "hacky" element is the AI's dynamic routing logic: it intelligently chooses the optimal tool for a task, such as prioritizing Circle Arc for USDC bridging for its speed, or LI.FI for generalized cross-chain swaps. This agentic decision-making, combined with the seamless integration of disparate DeFi SDKs and contract interactions under a conversational AI, showcases a powerful and user-friendly approach to decentralized finance. All development adheres to a testnet-first strategy, ensuring robust functionality across all integrated protocols.
