Project Description

This project permanently solves the problem of traditional paper warranty documents getting lost or damaged. When a consumer purchases a product from a store or online platform, the system verifies the purchase in the background and mints a unique NFT on the Avalanche blockchain. This NFT serves as the immutable and secure digital warranty document for the product. Users can manage all their warranties from a single interface via their crypto wallets, track the remaining validity periods, and instantly transfer the warranty to the new buyer if they sell the product second-hand. This architecture prevents fraudulent warranty claims for brands while offering consumers a transparent, loss-proof management system.

How it's Made

To maximize speed and efficiency during development, I actively applied "vibe coding" techniques using Cursor and Windsurf. After building the smart contract architecture with Solidity and completing the testing phase, I deployed it to the Avalanche network. The backend system triggers the automatic NFT minting process by listening to purchase data from simulated retail APIs. On the frontend, I designed a clean dashboard where users can connect their Web3 wallets and easily view their active NFT warranties. The most complex part of the development phase was handling physical product returns or exchanges, which required burning the NFT or updating its status. I solved this issue at the contract level by implementing strict role-based access control, granting specific execution rights only to authorized store wallets.
