Project Description

By integrating Octopus AI assistant into the Safe {Wallet} users unlocks several new ways to use multi-signature wallets more securely and also potentially can avoid ByBit hacks.

Octopus AI assistant will be part of your wallet checking all transactions that are proposed to be executed. It can scan for new transactions to either automatically reject malicious proposals or automatically execute proposed transactions that are approved and reviewed by AI. User can control settings and security levels or ask AI to analyze pending transactions in the multi-sig wallet on demand. Once AI gets approval to proceed with execution it analyzes carefully each pending transaction and makes decisions on executing them or rejecting them.

This concept can be extended on which rules it can be trained. In our app we create pending transactions in 2/2 wallet where Octopus AI acts as a safe-guard to scan for any pending transactions and check if they pose no harm before signing / executing them. Octopus can also chat with you and provide details as well as help with simple transfer and swap transactions.

In automation mode it can act as guardian for all your incoming multi-sig transactions to remove human error from the equation or serve as additional reviewer. So you can make ultimate multi-sig with regular wallet on board, email controller wallet and now add AI layer into your multi-sig.

How it's Made

When user connect to the application with their wallet they have several options how to interact with Octopus AI.

  • Base mode: Simple chat in which user can request for assistance with simple transactions like send ETH or send ERC20 tokens. The prompt is sent to LLM to analyze it and extract details from user prompt. Octopus tries to understand what you want to do and proposes to execute transactions based on these requests.

User can also have natural conversation with the agent focusing on security and DeFi.

  • Swap mode: In this mode user can perform more advance operations and interact with other protocols like Pendle with Octopus AI Agent preparing all the data for executions

  • Safe {Wallet} mode: Here user is given an auto-generated address as AI participant in that mode user can create Safe {Wallets} with AI agent on board as one of the participant. The private keys are generated for AI agent once it is joined your multi-sig we use also NILLION to store information of the chat with SecretVault and NILLION completion API to process user requests.

Once the AI is onboarded to your multi-sig or a new multi-sig created with AI controlled keys then the AI agent can have permissions to only verify transactions or also sign and execute them based on decisions it makes when analyzing byte-data and function selectors. If user allows AI to execute transactions then this can have several scenarios:

  1. User increases security of existing multi-sig wallets by adding AI layer
  2. User can create secure hot-wallets with 2/2 signers where second one is Octopus AI agent that helps to verify and double check transactions that gets proposed to be signed and executed. - This mode can run automatically with script checking for new pending transactions every few seconds and AI making decisions on incoming transactions to be rejected or executed.

We used also PRIVY to allow user connect their wallets with Email and several wallets at a time when creating a new multi-sig.

Hack-part is to allow user to create MULTISIGs with generated keys that are controlled by AI agent to make decisions on execution. Its in a chat mode but can also work autonomously. NILLION is a great tool to allow us achieve it! It has all the components we need!
