Project Description

We built Nyxie as a wallet-native React Native Expo app (Expo Router, animated mascot UI, haptics, voice capture) that talks to a FastAPI backend backed by MongoDB (Motor) for on-chain-adjacent profiles, chat, tasks, projects, and research memory—so your assistant state lives next to the rails that matter for money. The AI layer uses Claude over structured chat, with OpenAI Whisper for voice-in and optional ElevenLabs for voice-out, but the product spine is Web3 identity and settlement: Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE) for sessionless-style auth tied to your address, ENS for human-readable names and resolution, and user-signed USDC transfers where the chain enforces authorization while our server only validates, resolves payees, and caps exposure—we never custody keys or sign spends for you. On the payments-for-capabilities side we wired HTTP 402 + x402 so premium actions can be unlocked with crypto-native micropayments, using a facilitator flow (e.g. Coinbase CDP verify/settle) to verify and settle EIP-3009-style payloads on Base instead of legacy card rails. Client session continuity uses AsyncStorage; everything converges on a clean /api surface so calendar events, todos, chat, and Me settings stay aligned with the same wallet-linked identity—CeFi-grade UX, Web3 trust model at the edges.

How it's Made

We built Nyxie as a wallet-native React Native Expo app (Expo Router, animated mascot UI, haptics, voice capture) that talks to a FastAPI backend backed by MongoDB (Motor) for on-chain-adjacent profiles, chat, tasks, projects, and research memory—so your assistant state lives next to the rails that matter for money. The AI layer uses Claude over structured chat, with OpenAI Whisper for voice-in and optional ElevenLabs for voice-out, but the product spine is Web3 identity and settlement: Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE) for auth tied to your address, ENS for human-readable names and resolution, and user-signed USDC transfers where the chain enforces authorization while our server only validates, resolves payees, and caps exposure—we never custody keys or sign spends for you. For premium capabilities we wired HTTP 402 + x402 so paid actions can settle crypto-natively via a facilitator (e.g. Coinbase CDP verify/settle) on Base, instead of card rails. AsyncStorage holds client session continuity; a versioned /api surface keeps calendar, todos, chat, and Me aligned with the same wallet-linked identity—CeFi-grade UX with a Web3 trust model at the edges.

Future scope: we plan to plug in Supermemory so Nyxie gains explicit short-term and long-term memory—fast recall for the current week’s context (meetings, tasks, payment nudges) plus durable recall for preferences, recurring obligations, and relationships across sessions, without bloating every prompt or leaking what should stay ephemeral.
