Our focus is on the MODE blockchain. The challenge? Traditional EOA addresses are convoluted, limiting mainstream engagement. Our solution? Empowering users to attach personalized ".mode" name handles to their addresses. With this addition, transactions become as intuitive as email exchanges.

For this hackathon, we're showcasing the implementation of ".mode" handles, demonstrating real-world feasibility. Beyond this event, our vision extends to a Resolver SDK, enabling decentralized apps to integrate our user-centric approach.

How it's Made

The creation of the MODE Naming System has been a meticulous process, combining cutting-edge technologies to achieve a seamless and user-friendly solution. Here's an overview of how it all comes together:

ā€¢ Name Handle System:

We developed a custom name handle system that allows users to associate ".mode" handles with their blockchain addresses. This was achieved using a combination of smart contracts and off-chain databases to link user-provided names with their respective addresses.

ā€¢ Smart Contracts:

We used Solidity to create smart contracts on the MODE blockchain. These contracts manage the mapping between ".mode" handles and actual blockchain addresses, ensuring accurate resolution.

ā€¢ Blockchain Integration:

Our project heavily leveraged the existing infrastructure of the MODE blockchain to ensure seamless integration. Through the smart contracts, we enabled the ".mode" handles to be associated with specific addresses.
