Meta Forge

Meta Forge – A digital platform for online games. Seamless token integration with Metal and Flow

Meta Forge

Created At

ETHGlobal Taipei

Project Description

I've developed a unique gamified metaverse platform designed to host a wide variety of games, much like Roblox. The platform integrates a metal tokenization system alongside Flow to implement EVM, making tokenization simple and effective without the complexities typically associated with Web3 projects. This innovative system allows for the creation of multiple games within the platform, each utilizing tokens that can be exchanged seamlessly on a single marketplace. The first game I've built, called Run Party, is a 3D multiplayer racing game where players compete by running and avoiding obstacles in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This platform enables a smooth, unified gaming experience with easy token exchanges, making it perfect for both developers and players alike.

Tech Stack

  1. Frontend - Next.js, React.js, Material UI (MUI)
  2. Web3 - Metal.Build Tokenization, Metal API, Flow EVM
  3. Game Engine - Meta Horizon Desktop Editor (VR compatible)

How it's Made

For this project, I used a combination of cutting-edge technologies to create a seamless and immersive gamified metaverse platform.

Tech Stack Frontend - Next.js, React.js, Material UI (MUI) For the frontend, I used Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation, which ensures fast performance and better SEO. React.js is the backbone of the UI, allowing me to build a component-based architecture that’s both flexible and maintainable. I also integrated Material UI (MUI) for the design, which gives the platform a clean, modern look with its pre-built, customizable components.

Web3 - Metal.Build Tokenization, Metal API, Flow EVM To handle the tokenization aspect, I used Metal.Build Tokenization, which simplifies the creation and management of tokens, without the need for the complexities of traditional Web3 setups. The Metal API allows seamless integration with the Metal tokenization system, ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the backend. For the blockchain layer, I implemented Flow EVM, which integrates Ethereum-compatible smart contracts into the Flow blockchain. This makes it easy to work with existing Ethereum tools while still benefiting from Flow's scalability and low fees.

Game Engine - Meta Horizon Desktop Editor (VR compatible) For game development, I used the Meta Horizon Desktop Editor. This tool allows me to create immersive 3D worlds and virtual experiences, and it’s VR-compatible, so I can easily test the games in a virtual environment. The editor is incredibly efficient, as it works directly on my desktop, eliminating the need for a VR headset during development.
