MediChain.AI is a Web3-powered, AI-driven healthcare platform where patients truly own and control their medical records. By combining blockchain, AI, and decentralized storage, it ensures transparency, immutability, and patient-controlled access.
Blockchain Layer (Polygon): Stores metadata and consent logs for secure, verifiable access.
Off-Chain Storage: Encrypted health records stored in IPFS/Filecoin + MongoDB.
AI Engine: Provides prescription interpretation, medication summaries, and genetic risk detection across generations. Family Health Graph: Enables intergenerational linkage of health data to identify hereditary risks.
FHIR Format (WHO Standard): Ensures interoperability across hospitals, labs, and digital platforms worldwide.
We built MediChain.AI with a layered architecture combining Web3, AI, and decentralized storage:
Frontend: Browser-based interface for patients/doctors, wallet integration (MetaMask Snap).
Backend: Node.js + Express server managing off-chain storage, authentication, and AI service orchestration.
Blockchain (Polygon): For consent logs, metadata storage, and immutable access trails.
Storage: IPFS/Filecoin for encrypted records, MongoDB for fast indexing and retrieval.
AI Engine: Python microservices that summarize medical reports and perform genetic risk analysis. Notifications: Real-time alerts for record access requests and approvals.
User Onbaording: Using Self protocol via Aadhar based authentication for Authenticity.
Graph Optimization: Integrated The Graph for efficient data queries and visualization of family health linkage.
