As our parents and grandparents age, managing their health becomes increasingly complex. They face challenges in keeping track of multiple medications, intake schedules, medical appointments, and health metrics. MediBoomer addresses these challenges head-on, while ensuring data privacy and security.

Our platform deploys blockchain technology to create a secure, transparent, and efficient system for managing medical records, prescriptions, and health-related transactions. With features like smart contract-powered medication management, personalized health dashboards integrated with wearable devices, and real-time health alerts, MediBoomer offers a comprehensive solution tailored to the needs of older adults.

Blockchain is the backbone of our solution. It ensures that all data is stored securely and transparently, with a clear, immutable record of every interaction. This not only provides peace of mind but also enables seamless sharing of medical records across healthcare systems, improving the quality of care.

For our MVP, we’re focusing on prescription management and medicine administration notifications. Doctors issue digital prescriptions that are accessible by pharmacies on the platform. Once a prescription has been issued by the doctor and purchased in the pharmacy, the medication details -schedule, dosage, and administration method- will automatically appear in the patient’s app, making it impossible to forget the next medication.

Our commercial plan includes subscription models, transaction fees, partnerships, and targeted marketing strategies. We believe that with these elements in place, MediBoomer can quickly become an essential tool for Boomers and their caregivers, also and foremost for Insurance companies, and medical staff.

In conclusion, MediBoomer empowers Boomers to take control of their health with confidence, ensuring they receive timely and effective care while maintaining their independence. While, at the same time, building an invaluable database for insurance companies and medical laboratories.

Technologies Used:

• Smart Contracts in Base Sepolia: We utilized Base Sepolia to deploy the smart contracts for securely managing and verifying digital prescriptions, medication refills, and other health-related transactions. The decentralized nature of Ethereum ensures that all records are immutable and transparent, reducing the risk of fraud and unauthorized access.
• Blockscout: The smart contract was verified with Blockscout

1. Frontend Development:

• Next.js: Chosen for its ability to create a seamless, intuitive webapp application that works efficiently.
• RestAPI: Used for efficient data querying, ensuring the app remains responsive and data retrieval is optimized.

1. Authentication and Interaction with Smart Contract:

• Alchemy Account Kit: It offers a simple authentication process for users, allowing easier and faster access to the dApp without the need for metamask, with Alchemy’s account abstraction we leverage the gas sponsorship to give the user a Web2 experience.

1. Monitoring:

• Chainlink Automations: It is our solution to be able to have the control of notifying the user when to take their pills. We have used Chainlink Automations so that every 30 seconds it is checking the smart contract, checking if there is any user to be notified.
