Project Description

mazeking deterministically generates a maze from some user provided string. Interestingly, it embeds the string inside the maze, lining up the walls and changing the background color so that the string is visible. Inside the maze you must collect the robe and sceptor and then finally the crown to be crowned the maze king. This all happens locally. You can then prove that you solved the maze correctly by generating a zero knowledge proof--no going through walls, all the regalia were collected etc. The zk proof is verified on chain and entitles you to mint an NFT of the maze. Since the starting string is visible in the NFT, others can easily play the maze too and compete to try to beat your score.

During this hackathon, I added some badges, and improved the user interface, and deployed to production. Additionally by hacking some ENS stuff, you can view the high scores by using an ENS profile viewer like eth.xyz/string.mazeking.eth

How it's Made

I used my blockchain engineer agent ístina (claude backend) to help me polish this maze. I additionally did a lot of research on ENS and tried to hack together the profile based score board. Additionally I setup pipelines for auto deploying on my scaleway account, and set up a registrar based serverless function to register the mazes and compute the optimal number of moves for the purpose of scoring and achievement badges
