Manhood

This project is inspired by my own transition into manhood and finding the book "Manhood" by Steve Biddulph and realizing the importance of his ideas. I think many men would benefit from the concepts shared in the book so I decided to make an app facilitating the process. A mini app inside of the World App where users have to prove they're human and also tip a small fee to learn and gain knowledge about men.

Manhood, built with Next.js 16, combines AI mentorship with World ID verification. We process Steve Biddulph’s book into text chunks, convert them into embeddings using OpenAI’s text-embedding-3-small, and store them in a custom SQLite vector database. When users ask questions, GPT-4o-mini retrieves relevant passages via cosine similarity and streams real-time responses, giving advice grounded in the book while keeping the system fast, private, and cost-efficient.
