Project Description
This is a desktop application that allows a friendship group to create a betting pool, they decide how to each stake and for which football game to associate the betting pool to. The outcome of the football game doesn't influence the winner of the pool, its conclusion only initiates the random selection of the participants in the betting pool.
The idea is that a group of friends go to watch the team they all support but decide to have a lucky draw if their team wins. If their team wins, one of the friends will receive all the money.
How it's Made
Next.js browser project which utilises a smart contract to create the staking pool, Chiliz $CITY fan token price variation is used as a proxy for what would eventually be football game result feeds. Currently, Magic Touch commences to select a random winner within the pool if the price of $CITY fan token varies.
I wanted to demonstrate that an oracle could be used to initiate the winner selection process
