Project Description

A core limitation of current crypto lending protocols is that they require overcollateralization with crypto, which prevents the vast majority of borrowers in the world from participating. While a couple of protocols started tackling this problem, lending to individual borrowers without collateral is still a largely untapped market. Leavs aims to assess the creditworthiness by considering the character (credit history based on onchain and offchain credit score), capacity (onchain salaries), capital (money in wallet) and conditions (purpose of the loan, duration and amount). By utilizing a combination of smart and legal contracts, the borrowers can be held accountable for paying back the loan. By removing the need for crypto collateral and providing a means for passive yield, the protocol dramatically expands both the potential borrowers who can access crypto and the potential capital providers who can gain exposure.

How it's Made

  • Superfluid: Each loan is represented as an NFT, when people sell their loan the debtor is not affected by this. Superfluid streams automatically sends the money where the NFT is. Real time data about whether the loan is still being repayed.
  • IPFS: All customer data is stored decentralised on IPFS to ensure the privacy of sensitive information.
  • Worldcoin: Ensure sybil resistance and reduce the attack vector on the protocol.
  • Polygon: EVM compatible L2 solution to ensure a faster and cheaper user experience.
  • Wallet Connect: Increase the usability of the application
  • Pocket network: Enable a more decentralised, secure and reliable web3 access.
