The AI meme narrative is gaining traction, as evidenced by the emergence of projects like Gosias Maximus. Memes are significantly influenced by the stories surrounding their inception, which shape public interest and investment potential.

Kumagotchi is built with the perspective that unique AI applications, such as personality-driven LLMs, should create self-funding mechanisms and offer crypto tokens tied to their financial performance.

The Web3 space is more about culture than mere numbers, but these aspects need to be interconnected. Kumagotchi is self-funded as an ERC-20 token, tying the community to its own lore where its personality is nurtured collectively. This creates a strong community bond, as Kumagotchi is an AI agent that requires human engagement.

Kumagotchi promotes itself initially through Twitter and connects these social features directly to financial performance. It scrapes trending memes on Twitter, processes them through its own personality, and combines internal lore with external trends to launch its own meme tokens using AgentKit.

Our team focuses on creating a strongly tied community rather than implementing pvp mechanisms for users. Token holders nurture Kumagotchi together. As Kumagotchi's market cap grows, its appearance evolves, reflected in token thumbnails. Holders with more shares can influence Kumagotchi's personality formation more significantly, incentivizing users to hold more tokens and engage with the community.

Kumagotchi regularly sends AI-driven group quests to be completed within time limits; failure to do so results in Kumagotchi ceasing communication for extended periods, affecting the community.

The Kumagotchi project utilizes trending technologies, including AI agent-dedicated tools like OnchainKit and MessageKit from CDP and XMTP. Future plans include connecting to the NeonEVM ecosystem and tuning AgentKit to launch various Kuma-made meme tokens on Solana, aiming to create a chain-agnostic meme culture throughout the ecosystem.

This project primarily focuses on creating the best personality-driven narrative for Kumagotchi while linking it to financial mechanisms such as meme token creation and Kumagotchi being a token itself with evolving thumbnails.

I have deployed Kumagotchi as an ERC-20 token to make the incentive mechanism straightforward. Although it's designed to be a single token, for this hackathon, we're deploying it on multiple chains. I've created a pool where different assets from diverse chains are aggregated under Kumagotchi. As it evolves into a proper product, it will become a single token on a single chain.

We've used the best AI agent kits to develop Kumagotchi, with special thanks to CDP and XMTP for developing such great toolkits that have significantly eased our work. Using MessageKit, we've easily created a live group chat between Kumagotchi and its holders. Through this chat, Kumagotchi promotes itself, nurtures its personality while interacting with holders, gives group quests to strengthen the community, and launches new tokens that incorporate Kumagotchi's personality and external trending memes. Group quests are still a work in progress, and launching these tokens on Solana bridged by NeonEVM is our future work.

Although AI agents in this market are gaining more attention through various meme coins rather than infrastructure, I realize that these meme coins wouldn't be possible without the infrastructure work that makes developing AI agents so easy through various toolkits. However, I feel that these new tools aren't yet ready for multichain deployment. Personally, I want to bridge the Solana ecosystem from EVM to connect the vast Base meme coin market to the Solana meme market.

Kumagotchi is deployed on multiple EVM chains, with Polygon being particularly noteworthy due to its wearable device that records and summarizes human voices - a revolutionary AI assistant. This makes Polygon one of the most prepared chains for AI agent development. Our future work includes bringing Kumagotchi as one of the mini-apps for this device, especially in the production stage.
