Decentralizing Justice
Centralization of the methods of selection for a court proceeding can be tampered with/influenced by certain officials involved. To make sure that the jury is focused solely on the facts and evidences of the case, we need to have a refined selection of the jury.
With JuryDAO, we are coming up with a nonpartisan selection system. The jurors can join to our DAO by a simple Anon Aadhar verification and joining the official Push Channel. This Channel sends out summons to the members of the DAO when a jury formation is initiated. If they accept the duty, they are applicable to mint a soul bounded ERC721 NFT. Holding this NFT is the primary rule for the on-chain governance system. For a particular case proposal, seven governors are randomly selected to leverage unbiased decision making after the final court hearing. The ERC721 tokens of these governors are burned once the proposal is exected. These members are eligible to answer the summons again.
Finally, the Governors use Snapshot to cast the vote for guilty or not guilty.

We wanted to explore web3 solutions in the legal sector but got stuck with a novel ideation initially. By focusing on one subsector of the legal umbrella, we were able to develop this project to its fruition.
While implementing Push Notifications, we were not able to send the notification to more than one wallet address. This was an error from the protocol backend itself.
