Project Description

Inchano is a bidirectional cross-chain swap protocol that extends the capabilities of the 1inch Fusion protocol to enable atomic asset swaps between Ethereum and Cardano. The system is built to ensure decentralized, secure, and efficient token exchanges between these two fundamentally different blockchain ecosystems. It leverages a Dutch auction-based order settlement mechanism with hashlock/timelock security to ensure safe and trustless asset movement, without relying on third-party bridges or custodians.

How it's Made

This project, Inchano, leverages multiple official 1inch GitHub repositories (cross-chain-swap, limit-order-protocol, fusion-resolver-example, and cross-chain-sdk) to implement the EVM-side infrastructure for cross-chain swaps on Ethereum. These components collectively handle order creation, signing, Dutch auction pricing, escrow logic, and resolver integration within the Ethereum ecosystem. On the Cardano side, a custom, non-EVM compatible swap framework has been developed from scratch using native Cardano scripting (Plutus), including secure HTLC-based logic, timeouts, and asset verification mechanisms to mirror and synchronize the swap process with Ethereum. The two chains interact via a shared off-chain resolver and relayer that facilitates bidirectional execution, secret propagation, and state monitoring across both ecosystems.
