HustleHub is an innovative marketplace designed as a World Mini App, directly integrated with the Worldcoin ecosystem. Its core idea is simple but powerful: it enables people across the globe to post small tasks, set budgets, and deadlines, and connect with verified humans ready to help—all with seamless payments through Worldcoin.

How it works: A user logs into HustleHub using World’s single sign-on, which is secured by Orb verification. The Orb is a physical device developed by Worldcoin that scans and confirms the uniqueness of each user’s identity. This guarantees that every person using HustleHub is a real, unique human—not a bot or fake account. This verification system is built into every step of the World Mini App experience, ensuring that trust is at the heart of all interactions.

Users can post tasks offering a reward in Worldcoin, describing what needs to be done and setting a deadline for completion. These tasks can range from freelance gigs, quick errands, digital help, or anything else suited for remote micro-work. Other Worldcoin users, already verified as genuine humans, can browse and accept these tasks with confidence.

Once a task is accepted, the payment is safely held in escrow by the platform. This means the funds are locked and only released when the task has been successfully completed and verified by the requester. This protects both sides: requesters know their money is safe until they’re satisfied with the result, and task-doers don’t have to worry about payments not arriving. All funds circulate via Worldcoin, making transactions instant, borderless, and compatible with crypto wallets, while benefitting from World’s decentralized infrastructure.

Using HustleHub, collaboration between people is truly peer-to-peer. The platform’s trust model—powered by Orb human verification—ensures that only real people participate, dramatically reducing risks such as spam, scams, or automated task farming. Each user’s World identity brings accountability, and the Worldcoin payment system ensures simple, secure settlements.

To sum up: HustleHub is built with the aim to help anyone get work done, globally and securely, by connecting verified humans and enabling seamless payments through Worldcoin. It brings together human uniqueness, crypto-powered transactions, and mini app convenience for a future where marketplaces work for everyone.

I built HustleHub using World’s Mini App platform as the backbone, primarily leveraging the Worldcoin ecosystem for identity verification and crypto payments. The core stack includes React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend, bundled together in a monorepo setup managed by pnpm for fast, isolated package management.

World provides critical services: Orb-based human verification ensures every user is a real person, and the Mini App SDK makes it easy to work with user data, authentication, and wallet interactions. I integrated Worldcoin as the sole payment method, using their API to set up secure escrows—locking payments until tasks are marked complete and verified.

For authentication, I used SIWE (Sign-In with Ethereum), which lets users log in using their crypto wallet, tightly integrated with World’s verified identity. The task flow (posting, accepting, tracking, and completing) is handled by a simple state machine in the backend, while the frontend uses hooks and context to reflect live status and notifications.

A cool hack: since the Worldcoin API sometimes lags in updating task payments status, I wired up a webhook listener to catch transaction events as soon as they hit the blockchain, updating the UI almost in real time.

Using World’s Mini App environment helped avoid reinventing the wheel: identity, escrow, and notifications come prebuilt, letting me focus on marketplace logic, UX, and unique features. This combination of web tech, crypto tooling, and World’s partner APIs made development both rapid and robust.
