Home Owners Association Board Members want to do right by their communities. HOA Insight Smart Contracts help Board Members evaluate and vote on Proposals, Quotes and Funds Allocation, with transparency to their community.
Project Description
The Home Owners Association Board Members don't always to do right by their community when evaluating proposals and finding high quality contractors to fulfill those proposals. That said, most of them also have full-time jobs, and time is limited.
A home owner brought them the idea of setting up a HOAInsight Smart Contract.
When a new proposal is brought to the HOA, they enter the Project Requirements and the Budget in HOAInsight. All Board Members receive a notification to vote on it in the mobile app. If the proposal receives unanimous vote (as written in Redwood Greens Bylaws), the funds are made available to the HOA Treasurer. Those funds can now be used to pay contracting company's invoice.
How it's Made
We began the project using Miro for brainstorming and gathering essential tools to help us build the prototype. For the UI, we used Figma to design a seamless user experience. To generate demo data, we utilized AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
Our tech stack includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with Next.js and React for front-end development, while Node.js powers the backend. We also integrated Hardhat for smart contract development, Remix, and Rainbow Wallet for seamless wallet connectivity.
