Project Description

Problem Statement

There needs to be a secure and transparent platform for medical researchers to collect and utilize health data for experiments and studies. The researchers struggle to raise awareness and funding for their projects. Meanwhile, there's little to no compensation for participants' valuable health data. This hinders medical innovation and patient care overall. Additionally, the prevalent data collection practice without informed consent and inadequate participant compensation exacerbates these issues.

Solution:

Introducing a decentralized and user-centric platform that connects researchers with willing participants and investors to facilitate responsible and ethically sound health data collection. This platform will address the core challenges of data collection, consent, and monetization, empowering individuals to actively contribute to medical research and receive fair compensation for their data.

Platform Overview:

Researcher Portal: Researchers can create and publish research projects, specifying their data requirements, compensation options, and data usage guidelines. Participant Portal: Individuals can register, consent to participate in research projects, and choose the level of data sharing (aggregate or personal) and compensation received. Data Collection Mechanisms: The platform will incorporate various data collection methods, including interactive memory games for brain research, real-time GPS/heart rate monitoring for physical activity studies, and simple test report/health record upload for clinical research.

How it's Made

I started off with capturing GPS data and Heart-Rate data using Unity which was challenging. I spent more time on it than I should've. Apart from that I'm relatively new to smart contracts, so it was tough to understand the different chains and how to test and deploy. Luckily hackers and mentors guided me throughout and helped me deploy and integrate them
