Project Description

GitFund incentivizes open-source development by directly rewarding GitHub contributions. Project owners fund "contribution vaults" with PYUSD for their specific repositories. When a developer's pull request is merged, our system flags them for a reward.

Using Privy, contributors can securely log in via email to claim their earnings—no complex wallet setup required. All reward transactions are completely gasless, powered by the Yellow Network, removing all friction for the user. It’s the simplest way to fund and get paid for open-source work, seamlessly bridging the gap between GitHub and Web3.

How it's Made

The PYUSD integration can be basic one. So by default we will create a wallet for the email id and credit it with the bounty to be claimed later or using github auth, whichever is easy to implement in our app. Yellow Network integration can replace onchain functionalities as needed if it is handled by the yellow sdk appropriately. Scaffold Eth 2 provides the base layer for the application to be built on top. For Github we wont use webhook functionality instead we would poll the public repo which is provided by the user who is creating the vault.
