Ghost Yield

Ghost Yield is a financial layer that turns unused L2 execution capacity into a tradable asset called CPT (Compute Token) and forms a CPT/USDC reference market on Uniswap v4. With v4 Hooks, fees and spreads are dynamically adjusted based on L2 utilization, enforcing a rule where the emptier the L2, the cheaper CPT becomes. Price gaps between low-activity L2s are arbitraged via Yellow SDK’s gasless, high-speed sessions, and final profits are settled in USDC through Arc/Circle and deposited into the operator’s Vault to cover fixed costs like nodes and sequencers. It replaces demand-dependent revenue with an infrastructure that keeps L2s financially alive until usage returns.

We built Ghost Yield as a full-stack system that combines on-chain market design with off-chain execution and settlement.

On-chain, Solidity contracts implement CPT (Compute Token), an Operator Vault, and Uniswap v4 pools with custom v4 Hooks that dynamically adjust fees/spreads based on L2 utilization signals. Utilization is fed by a hybrid oracle: a fast EMA bot updates frequently, while Chainlink Functions periodically verifies and corrects data for safety.

Off-chain, a Node.js/TypeScript “price watcher” monitors CPT/USDC pools across L2s, and a Ghost Arbitrage Engine executes gasless, high-frequency trades via Yellow SDK sessions. Final net profit is settled in USDC through Arc/Circle and deposited into the operator’s Vault.

This architecture shows a hacky but practical loop: off-chain speed (Yellow) + on-chain price rules (Uniswap v4 Hook) + real settlement (Arc/USDC). Frontend is Next.js + Tailwind + shadcn/ui for the live dashboard (prices, hook state, session logs, vault balance). The result is a market layer that can generate revenue even when L2 usage is low.
