Project Description

Expanding your business to the world should be no hassle, and there is no better tool to make it global than accepting borderless payments using the liquidity of GHO stablecoin. GHOat is the key to launching a globalized local shop, providing fast and secure payments with zero commissions. It provides the perfect combo of an SDK easy to integrate to your business and a dApp to receive payments, manage stores and take the most of your crypto assets.

The GHOat helps to seamlessly onboard your Web2 business into the top Web3 tools, create a crypto wallet and open shops as easy as one, two, three, my money is here. No crypto knowledge is required – just create a profile domain that will be linked to a biometric passkey, and start assigning domains for your stores with an easy to integrate API to receive stablecoin payments on your already existing stores.

You don't need to leave the app to get the best from Decentralized Payments: transfer easily between stores, use that spare cash and get some returns on it, or improve your liquidity and borrow money.

When we say zero commissions on your sales it's really zero, nothing, nada. Banking for all means not taking your hard earned money on each sale – spend that 3% commission you used to pay to your “pal” to reinvest in your project and that 2% you paid to your “master” as your “visa” to customers overseas.

What GHOat provides:

  • Smart wallet with biometric keys: A simple onboarding process for users with no blockchain experience, to start managing crypto assets.

  • SDK: An easy to integrate development kit for businesses to start accepting GHO payments in their existing stores.

  • Account abstraction: To create smart wallets and onboard users with no crypto/blockchain experience, just as easy as opening an account in a Web2 app.

-Gasless: Easy to use means no need to pay for onchain transactions and understanding how gas works, just onboard and use!

  • Integrated DeFi: A section on the dApp for users to manage their assets without leaving the app, they can stake and borrow assets to improve their store’s liquidity.

  • Store creation: Businesses can create separate domains for each store allowing them to have a better management of the assets and keep track of their sales.

  • Dashboard: Both users and businesses can keep track of all of their movements inside the GHOat app to better manage their assets and understand every transaction.

  • Frictionless user experience: An easy to understand interface for all users and business to easily understand GHOat tools.

How it's Made

How its build:

Biometric Authentication with Passkeys: We have directly integrated Turnkey to enable biometric-based account creation and signatures. This integration allows users to effortlessly set up accounts and enjoy a seamless experience, eliminating the need for passwords, seed phrases, and paying gas fees.

Smart Wallet Setup via Account Abstraction: Our frontend incorporates the ZeroDev SDK for the initiation of AA smart wallets, utilizing tools such as the Bundler and Paymaster for Web3 interactions. To ensure efficient and type-safe queries and transaction, we have integrated wagmi, viem, and AbiType.

Frontend Development: Our team has developed a frontend application using React in conjunction with Next.js 14, featuring app-dir routing and shadcn/ui components. Additionally, we've implemented Next.js API routes specifically for integrating Turnkey & Prisma.

SDK Development: Utilizing Vite and React, we developed an SDK which we then published on npm for broader accessibility.

Building the P2P Smart Contract: Our team utilized Hardhat to develop the P2P smart contract and incorporated the GHO contract, which is operational on the Sepholia testnet.
