Dropz

Dropz is an airdrop eligibility standard and onboarding platform for web3 users. Dropz eliminates Sybil Attacks on airdrops (airdrop farmers) with proof-of-personhood verification through Worldcoin and calculates a web3 engagement score for end users.

Project Description

Airdrops offer an incentive for contributing to the Web3 ecosystem, improving infrastructure while strengthing user engagement. Airdrops currently are an unstandardized process, airdrop eligibility has to be reevaluated with each airdrop. With Sybil Attackers posing a risk to airdrops meant to encourage Web3 contributions (Ex: Optimism's recent airdrop consisted of ~7% Sybil attackers, receiving nearly $8.8 million initially) (at the time of writing) . Dropz offers an easy way to evaluate the eligibility of addresses through the use of Worldcoin's Proof-of-personhood while calculating a standard score for a user's Web3 engagement. Users can increase score and chances of receiving airdrops by interacting with numerous web3 dApps, protocols, networks etc.

How it's Made

Through identity verification, we utilize Worldcoin's JavaScript widget to define a login action we verify if an address registered with Dropz is a unique individual. Using Graph's subgraph's on-chain data we query and process subgraphs like: Optimism, Polygon, ENS and POAP. Defining user actions of interest such as depositing on Polygon's bridge or owning an ENS domain, we standardize the evaluation process for airdrop eligibility, by generating a score based on the completion criteria of tasks or "dropletz". Connecting and verifying address activity through login with Wallet Connect allows for mobile login and desktop login. Thanks to Pocket Network we reduce centralized RPC provider risk and experimenting with Skynet let us explore additional means of decentralization. Using a NextJS frontend, utilizing APIs from WorldCoin and Graph while hosting source code on Valist.
