Drop is a World App mini-app that enables the creation and discovery of exclusive digital drops — from sneakers and music to event passes, collectibles, art, and more. Built for a bot-free world, Drop leverages World ID to ensure every interaction is verified human-only, giving users fair access to limited items while protecting creators from fake demand and spam.

Drops can be either free or paid. For paid drops, users can seamlessly make payments using WLD, Worldcoin’s native token, directly within the World App. Users already claiming WLD bi-weekly through World App can now spend their tokens meaningfully — adding a tangible use case and value loop to the ecosystem.

But Drop goes beyond access. With support for zero-knowledge proofs via Self Protocol, drop creators can gate access to their drops based on verifiable attributes like age or geography — without ever compromising personal data. This makes it possible to run age-restricted events, region-based exclusives, or private beta programs in a privacy-preserving way.

For creators, Drop offers a streamlined path to monetization and audience building. WLD collected through drops can be locked into a yield vault, offering up to 10% yield — helping creators grow their earnings while staying inside the World ecosystem.

At its core, Drop turns World App from an identity layer into a new kind of marketplace — one that’s human-only, permissionless, privacy-preserving, and built on crypto-native primitives. It creates a win-win-win loop: users spend their WLD, creators earn more, and the World ecosystem gets real economic activity — all in a trusted, decentralized manner.

Drop is built using Next.js and styled with TailwindCSS. Users can create a drop only after verifying their identity using Worldcoin's MiniKit, which adds a layer of sybil resistance. Uses off chain age, location etc proving with self protocol for gated drops. Uses in app WLD payments.
