In South Korea, many cafés use paper punch-card loyalty systems, so we saw an opportunity to modernize and gamify that idea with blockchain. Every time a customer drinks a coffee, they receive ERC-1155 ingredient tokens on-chain. By collecting ingredients according to a predefined recipe, they can craft ERC-721 coffee NFTs featuring unique pixel art. That NFT can then be redeemed for a real free coffee. We’ll pilot the system in a friend’s café in Korea to measure its marketing impact and gather feedback.
