Decentralized flood insurance for humans living near the river Danube (Donau) with verifiable data
Real world data is fetched from a web 2.0 API called "DORIS" (Donau River Information system). To fetch it regularly and just just once (it updates hourly), on fluence a CRON job is running. Any user can purchase a insurance policy using the dapp hosted on fluence. The insurer then claims the policies and they become active. The data for settlement is verified by FDC and thus can be trusted by both the insurer and the customers!
Using Flare FDC, the real world data is fetched from a web 2.0 API called "DORIS" (Donau River Information system). There are smart contracts that manage insurance policies as NFTs. Data is attested via FDC - e.g. https://coston2-explorer.flare.network/tx/0x8fb774b469d25ccf12c3a53acb6d0e8f2c67143e4f9e8867b35546e4fa7ecfc0 The web2API data is retrieved from: https://opendata2.doris-info.at/doris/api/1.0/gauge/getStatus?VIADONAU_PARTNER_KEY=opendata
More metadata is fetched from this API endpoint (to be used to enhance the dApp frontend): https://opendata2.doris-info.at/doris/api/1.0/gauge/list?VIADONAU_PARTNER_KEY=opendata All is on Flare Coston2 network and I heavily make use of MultiBaaS.
