DeReview revolutionizes the peer-review process for scientific research by creating a bounty marketplace where researchers and qualified reviewers can collaborate. In our platform, researchers can set up a bounty for qualified peer-reviewers, which will provide feedback on their work and get rewarded.

We used Privy and the Coinbase OnchainKit for easy user onboarding. Upon login, new users select their expertise, which will allow them to be reviewers for the appropriate articles. The expertise tags are represented onchain by soulbound tokens, which are minted to the user wallet upon registration. When a user wants to create a review bounty for their article, they upload the article file, they fill in the expertise required to review the article, select the bounty size and the amount of reviews they expect. Upon creation of the bounty, the file will be stored in Akave, which will return an IPFS link that we store in a clone custom contract. When the review bounty is created the article appears in the dashboard of each user with the appropriate expertise. The bounty they can opt to is determined by the total bounty size divided by the number of expected reviewers. In order to claim the reward, the scientist needs to upload a file for their review, which will be equally stored in Akave and the clone smart contract. Submitting the review will unlock the rewards to be claimed by the reviewer.
