Degen Drink

The DegenDrink project is an advanced, blockchain-integrated drink dispenser designed for events like tech conferences, meetups, and social gatherings. Here's a detailed description:

1. Hardware Design: DegenDrink is a sophisticated hardware machine, similar to a traditional drink dispenser but equipped with modern technology. It's designed to automatically mix and serve a variety of drinks, from cocktails to soft beverages.

2. Blockchain Integration: At its core, the machine uses blockchain technology. This allows for secure, transparent transactions and the ability to integrate with multiple blockchain networks (multi-chain capability).

3. NFC Wristbands: Attendees at events receive NFC-enabled wristbands. These wristbands act as digital wallets and are linked to the user's cryptocurrency or digital currency accounts. They can be pre-loaded by event sponsors with a certain number of complimentary drinks or can be topped up by users to purchase drinks.

4. Drink Selection: The machine offers a selection of 17 different drinks. Users can choose their preferred drink through an interactive interface on the machine. The menu can be customized based on the event or sponsor's preferences.

5. User Interaction: To order a drink, the user simply approaches the machine, scans their NFC wristband, and selects their drink of choice. The transaction is processed through the blockchain network, ensuring a secure and quick payment process.

We developed the frontend utilizing Next.js technology. The application's design was crafted in Figma. Our hardware integration includes a Raspberry Pi, equipped with three fluid pumps, transistors, switches, microcontrollers, and an LCD display. The indexing component was implemented using a the graph, while the backend was built with JavaScript. For the payments/wristbands we've used ARX HaLo chips.
