DecentraleX is a free-to-access, reliable, secure and decentralized freelancing platform with a DAO voting system for solving client/freelancer disputes.
We built this project because we see the following issues in today freelancing platforms and we want to improve them:
Problems of centralized platforms:
Lack of transparency: users are often unaware of how decisions are made. In a open dispute resolution process can be difficult for them to understand the reasoning behind a resolution.
Agreements based on trust: agreements between clients and freelancers are primarily rooted in trust. Even when a decision is made by the dispute resolution center the process cannot be automated and one part has to wait and hope that the other is gonna proceed as chosen.
No privacy: in current freelancing platforms, privacy is compromised as centralized systems often collect and control extensive personal data. Knowing members data can also lead to biased decisions when a problem emerges and the resolution center has to choose who is right.
No rewards: in centralized dispute resolution system rewards are often not associated with a specific issue, but supporters rather receive a fixed salary. This does not incentivize them to solve specific issues.
Problems of decentralized platforms:
So we built DecentraleX. A freelancing marketplace where:
Clients can create job offer and propose it to some selected freelancer. Freelancers can interact in real-time through a chat interface powered by Push Protocol and accept the proposal. Once a client selects a freelancer to close the deal, payment is securely held in escrow, ensuring financial security for both parties. Both parties pay an extra fee to ensure customer support in case a problem emerges. This fee is needed to reward the DAO, but is returned to client&freelancer if the job is delivered with no issues.
Communication with Push protocol chat keeps going for all the job process. If an issue arises, client/freelancer can report it, triggering DAO involvement. One of the multiple DAOs is randomly selected by the smart contract to solve this issue.
DAO members enter the client/freelancer group chat to actively engage with them and understand what the issue is about.
Once they’ve made their own opinion about the conflict they vote for the party they believe is in the right. Upon reaching a consensus through the voting process, the issue is resolved, and DAO members get rewarded with the fee paid by client&freelancer (proportional to the job budget amount) for having solved the problem.
