Project Overview

The DAAO (Decentralized AI-powered Autonomous Organization) is an advanced blockchain governance solution designed to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced security, reliability, and community engagement.

DAAO aims to address the critical challenges of low voter turnout, the risk of malicious proposals, and the need for robust and reliable decision-making in decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).

Main Features

1. AI-Driven Automated Voting System

At the heart of DAAO is the AI-Driven Automated Voting System, which automatically analyzes user preferences by monitoring on-chain activities and social media data. This system is designed to predict and cast votes on behalf of users, ensuring continuous and representative participation in governance decisions.

By leveraging AI, DAAO effectively mitigates the risks associated with low voter turnout, which can often lead to the passage of malicious or unrepresentative proposals.

Account Abstraction Integration: The system employs Account Abstraction (AA), allowing AI agents to securely execute governance transactions directly from users' wallets. This integration ensures that the voting process remains secure and that users maintain control over their voting power, even when delegating to AI.

AI-Based Proposal Validation

The AI-Based Proposal Validation feature adds an additional layer of security to the governance process. After a proposal has been voted on, the AI system compares the vote outcome with community sentiment, which it gauges by analyzing public discourse, social media trends, and other relevant data.

If a discrepancy is detected between the vote results and the community's sentiment, the execution of the proposal is paused.

Pause and Review Mechanism: This pause allows the community to engage in further discussion and review, preventing potentially harmful or contentious proposals from being implemented without thorough scrutiny. This mechanism is vital for maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of the governance process.

Multi-Layer 2 Support

DAAO is fully operational on multiple Layer 2 networks, which enhances scalability and reduces transaction costs. Currently, DAAO supports Optimism, Base, and Metal L2, making it a versatile solution for various blockchain ecosystems.

How it's Made

Project Architecture and Core Technologies

The DAAO project is a fusion of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

Layer 2 Networks

The DAAO system is primarily built on the EVM-blockchains, leveraging the security and decentralization it provides. To enhance scalability and reduce transaction costs, we support multiple Layer 2 solutions, including Optimism, Base, and Metal L2.

Smart Contracts

At the heart of DAAO are a series of smart contracts that manage governance proposals, voting, and execution. We used Solidity to write these contracts.

The Governor contracts are designed to handle proposal submission, voting, and time-locking mechanisms to ensure that all governance actions are transparent and immutable.

We employed Account Abstraction to enable AI-driven governance transactions directly from users' wallets. This was a critical innovation, as it allowed us to automate the voting process without compromising user control or security.

Predictive Voting

One of the standout features of DAAO is its AI-driven automated voting system. We use LLM, ChatGPT 4o-mini, to forecast user voting behavior. The AI can make accurate predictions about how users would vote, allowing it to cast votes on their behalf.

AI-Based Proposal Validation

We also integrated AI into the proposal validation process. After a vote is completed, our AI system cross-references the outcome with the broader community sentiment.

This validation step was also built using LLM to analyze discussions, community forums, and other relevant data sources. The AI checks for discrepancies between the voting results and community sentiment and, if necessary, triggers a pause in proposal execution for further review (the pause is the default state; if aligned, the AI allows the proposal to pass).

By integrating with Layer 2 networks like Optimism, Base, and Metal L2, we significantly enhanced the scalability and cost-efficiency of the DAAO system. These networks allowed us to handle high volumes of transactions without compromising on speed or cost, which is crucial for a real-time governance platform.
